Roman Montoya is Associate Director of Bands at Della Icenhower Intermediate School in the Mansfield Independent School District in Mansfield, TX.  This is his first year with the district.  Prior to teaching at DIIS, Mr. Montoya was Assistant Director of Bands and Director of Color Guards at North Crowley High School for three years.  Mr. Montoya taught with Moore Public Schools in Moore, OK for ten years before moving to Texas.

In addition to teaching public school, Mr. Montoya is movement/dance coordinator for the Glassmen Drum and Bugle Corps of Toledo, OH.  He has been with the corps for five years.  Roman is also director of  Black Gold Winter Guard from Dallas, TX and has been part of the teaching staff for fifteen seasons.  For three years, Roman has been adjunct faculty at Tarleton State University in Stephenville, TX as Director of Color Guard.

Roman is also a choreographer/clinician/consultant for many color guards in Texas.
