Christen Soto was a member of Black Gold in 2003, 2004, and was Captain in 2006.  Last year she was the recipient of scholarships from the North Texas Colorguard Association as well as the Winterguard International. She marched with the Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps the summers of 2000 & 2001 and has taught the Lamar High School Colorguard since Fall 2004. In the past 6 years has assisted with guards in Bedford, The Colony, and Mansfield.  She recently graduated cum laude from the University of Texas at Arlington with a degree in Aerospace Engineering and began work toward her Masters degree in the fall of 2006.
